Applications

Chip nests and sockets
TORLON 5530 PAI nests and sockets are used during the testing of chips. By retaining dimensional stability over a broad temperature range, parts made of TORLON 5530 PAI improve reliability of test connections and extend part life.
High temperature electrical connectors
TORLON 4203 polyamide-imides provide outstanding electrical performance and high temperature stability.
Labyrinth seals
TORLON 4503 PAI's rub tolerance gives users and manufacturers of turbocompressors efficiency gains and higher throughput capability by reducing seal clearances.
Bearing cages

Can mandrels
These mandrels made of TORLON 4203 PAI support aluminium cans during printing. Rotary compressor vanes
More efficient operation and more reliable long-term performance make TORLON 4301 PAI the optimum material for sliding vanes in rotary compressors. The material's high stiffness and excellent dimensional stability even at elevated temperatures, enable the vanes to travel freely in and out of the slotted rotor without binding.
Beaker welding supports
These TORLON 4301 PAI supports are used in food packaging machines for sealing plastic yoghurt cups with an aluminium foil. These supports are subjected to high wear and abrasion at temperatures going up to 200°C.
